How do I choose an air conditioner?
If your AC usage is 8 to 10 hours a day for 3 to 4 months, it is recommended to buy at least 3 Star rated AC. For usage of 10 to 12 months one should opt for cooling only or Hot & Cold Inverter AC.
How many hours should my AC run a day?
Well it should run the entire time that the peak load is occuring . This may be for 8 hours or so but will not be for 24 hours. Most Air Conditioners run for 1 hour to 8 hours averagely on an insanely hot day.
Why is AC not cooling enough?
In addition to the air filter, your AC may have other types of air flow problems. If the evaporator coil is dirty, not enough air moves across it and your home doesn't cool off as well as it should. If the condenser coil is dirty, it won't dump enough heat to the outside.
